After 48 months into what should have been a 14-month custom home build, we fired our second builder. We litigated and won a $991,152.60 settlement plus 8.5% interest until paid. Nanke has not paid — we are now conducting a debtor exam, garnishing assets, and actively pursuing our $1M judgment. Our first builder, Paul Lutz, Ravencrest Builders, signed a contract, took our deposit, and then filed for bankruptcy before starting any work on our custom home.  We litigated, ultimately winning our claim after a lengthy 5 ½ year legal battle that cost $70,000 in attorney fees. Ten years later, Paul Lutz has still never returned our deposit.
